“I visited Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest, and it was very nice. It was very clean and well decorated. It looked like they had a professional decorator come in and do everything. Everybody was very professional, very nice, and pleasant. I was impressed that the rooms all have flat-screen TVs and were very nice. Their dining area was very homey, and I liked it. I got to see the laundry area, the hair salon, the activity area, and everything they had to offer.”

I was stressing the importance of making sure that my mother-in-law was in a place where they had well-trained individuals who could deal with her particular case of memory loss. It was like being at home, and that’s what I loved about this community. It’s one level, and they have different areas for the different types of assistance you need, whether you need Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care, and I like that particular layout. It didn’t give you that feeling of an apartment building; this community gave me the feeling of actually walking into your own home.”
